Fund Appropriation and Accounting Policy

Effective 01-March-2004

At each meeting of the North Texas Battle Group, the treasurer will give a full account of the clubs funds, which shall include the following:

  1. The current balance of club funds.
  2. A list of all outstanding appropriations and their balance.
  3. A list of all collections and disbursements made since the last treasurer's report.
At anytime during the club meeting, a member may make a motion for an appropriation. After the motion, the CO will then call for a vote. A favorable vote by a simple majority of the membership in attendance at that meeting is required for the motion to pass. If the motion is passed, the membership can then decide how long that appropriation should be in effect. If no time limit is specified, then by default, the appropriation will expire at the end of the calendar year.

The treasurer is responsible for maintaining records and receipts of all financial transactions. These records should be made available for membership review but do not necessarily need to be made public.
